I have been practicing guitar for about six days in a row now using my simple tracker system. If you’re not careful, merely developing the habit of work can become a trap. I started to become mired in the problem of getting a difficult passage down.

Instead, I can lighten up my grip on this passage and remember my whole repertoire. I can start to picture the act of playing music for other people, which is a more desirable goal than simply working my fingers into repetitive strain injuries.
